First homeownership. Now college.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/post/santorum-obama-is-a-snob-because-he-wants-everybody-in-america-to-go-to-college/2012/02/25/gIQATJffaR_blog.html?tid=pm_pop I honestly don't get this. Is the Republican Party really taking this line, a conspiracy to keep you poor and stupid? |
The party of lowered expectations. If you can convince the 99% they don't want or need a better life, they won't notice when you the politician or banker does everything possible to ensure a better life for your own kids. |
I didn't bother to read the article because Santorum doesn't speak for all republicans. The American dream doesn't guarantee anyone a house or an education, you have to work for those goals. The American dream doesn't mean that you are given your desires because someone else has worked to attain them for themselves. The American dream is just that--a dream. You have to work to make that dream a reality. That is the problem with America today. Everyone want something handed to them on a platter. |
PP, Santorum just told a crowd of Republicans in Michigan that Obama is a "snob" for encouraging people to work to achieve college. No one said anything about silver platters.
Santorum just told people that having aspirations to go to college is a bad thing. And they applauded him for it. In the future, please don't do the "I didn't read it but I will opine anyway" thing. |
Because higher education is filled with a bunch of over-educated liberals just waiting to indoctrinate the masses. |
I still don't need to read the article. My position is the same. Santorum does not speak for all republicans and neither do a crowd of his supporters. |
Actually, it the democrats that want to keep the masses poor, stupid and dependent upon the government. That is how they stay in power. |
Pass by. |
So how many of Santorum's children have been marched straight into this certain doom? |
