| Has any here been. Do they have an Ice Hotel due the summer? What are some good spas? Do you have to be naked? Are their good resaurants? I know they have chew flights--I'd like to take advantage. |
| ^^there, not their. sowy. |
| Okay I meant-- has anyone here been there? And do they have Ice Hotel during the summer? |
|
I went during New Year's a few years back. I can imagine it would be great during the summer, with the sun up almost all day!
No idea about the Ice Hotel, but the Blue Lagoon is a must. I believe bathing suits are required. |

Iceland is green and Greenland is ice -- or so I was always told.
We went in the winter which was amazing. The summer is supposed to be great but I don't know if they have an ice hotel. I thought that thing was in Sweden or Norway. |
It is in Sweden--but they have one in Canada now--thought they might have one in "Iceland". |

Iceland Icehotel Iceland does not actually have an ice hotel of its own, in spite of popular belief, though its intriguing landscapes, vibrant capital city and quirky culture does make the perfect partner to a winter break at the Icehotel in Swedish Lapland. The Icehotel is a hotel like no other and Iceland is a country like no other. Experience the best of both worlds and combine both in one memorable holiday. |
| Iceland is wonderful in the summer. It's a little bit chilly but the landscape is unbelievable and there are wonderful restaurants and friendly people. Everyone seems to speak English. It is really great. I had no trouble sleeping- we just closed the curtains in the hotel and it was nice and dark. |

Absolutely loved Iceland. Look up Blue Lagoon, which is popluar. Trip insurance may be a wise idea, given last years volancic ash clouds which impacted air travel. |
| Iceland is fantastic. I went 2 summers ago. The Blue Lagoon is a terrific experience. Summer is lovely. Think 65 and sunny. I wore jeans and long sleeves. If you go North to the city of Akuryrei, you can take a ferry to the island of Grimsey and have your picture taken at the Arctic Circle. The scenery is amazing. The wildlife is stunning. The people are very friendly, but they are also respectful of your privacy. Whenever I am in southern Europe, I am always put off by how invasive the people are to your personal space. In Iceland, I did not have that overwhelmed backed into a corner feeling every time I went out. I would go back in a heartbeat. |
