Marco Island Marriott
Ritz Carlton Naples |
| Sand Pearl Clearwater Beach. We had a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen, balcony and all hotel amenities. Beautiful pool right outside the hotel with the beach just on the other side if the pool. |
| We stayed at the Ritz on Key Biscayne. It was kid friendly and classy at the same time. A really good time. |
| Ritz Naples or Ritz Sarasota. Nice. |
| We've been doing Ritz almost exclusively since it became associated with Marriott. We've never been disappointed. |
| double with the Ritz Sarasota |

just curious, isn't the ocean temp still fairly chilly in mar/apr to swim in if that would be any concerns?
we would love to getaway to florida around that time too but might want to wait til the ocean warms up since our 2 yr old DS loves playing in the ocean. |

It depends what you are used to. In March, Miami would be around 75 degrees and it will be closer to 70 degrees up the coast. It gets warmer about 5 degrees in April. The SW Gulf is about mid to low 70's as well.
That's basically Midwest and Northeast summer lake weather and warmer than the Pacific Ocean in CA during the summer. That's not heated or indoor pool temps. of about 80 degrees or summer Atlantic beach temperatures of up to 85 degrees (i.e. luke warm bath water). I'm a total wimp and that's too cold for me, but totally fine for my wife and kids. I'll splash around in the water, for a half hour, but I'm not going to swim in the water for a long time. |
| anywhere south towards ft. myer or ft. lauderdale you will prob. be OK. |
| Also ritz at amelia ialand. Lots of pirates! |
