By promoting groups like this (and Jewish Americans, LGBT Americans, Latinos, People of Faith, etc - "for Obama"), Obama is highlighting cultural differences and separating people.

Obama has done nothing but try to divide this country since taking office. Why would he behave differently now that he is running for reelection?

Give it a rest, every candidate courts every group - hispanics, soldiers, teachers, rabbis, iron workers, you name it.

If the black vote seems hopelessly lost to you, well you ought to consider why. But to pretend that Obama invented the ritual of courting groups of voters is just fucking absurd.
