Dr. Mazloomdoost at Georgetown

Does anybody have any experiences with or thoughts about Dr. Mazloomdoost at Georgetown? I have my first appointment with her and would be happy for any feedback.

I saw her during one of my early visits at Georgetown. She seems really nice and full of energy. I thought I would try to meet a few of the people in the practice so that maybe I will be familiar with the person that delivers me, and I will be perfectly comfortable with her if she is the one there for the delivery.

She's my primary and I really like her. She takes her time with you once you finally get to meet with her. (I have yet to be seen within 15 minutes of my appointment and have waited as long as an hour.) I find her sympathetic and easy to talk to. I did some research online and she graduated with honors and has won a few awards.

I went between her and Dr. Wulf. I thought both were excellant and would highly recommend either.

While I don't know Dr. Mazloomdoost, I delivered with another physician in the practice and would not recommend the group or delivering at Georgetown. I found other physicians in the group to be rushed and not particulaly concerned about me as a person. At several prenatal appointments I had my list of questions to ask, but the doctor would be half way out the door by the time I got to my second question. During labor, delivery, and post-partum, care there were many different residents who came through to see me and my baby as this is part of the teaching hospital approach. I found that few of them clearly identified their role in my care and it was questionable at times if the attending physician was even involved in making decisions about how to treat me abecause they did not make themselves available so I could ask them questions.

I saw Dr. Mazloomdoost for my first OB appointment since Dr. Wulf wasn't available (was out sick that day) and no one called to tell me. Dr. Mazloomdoost wasn't going to see me at all but I made a fuss and wanted to see someone since I had to take a half day off of work for the appointment. She was young and OK, but she was extremely rushed with me and not thorough at all. When she called to give me test results, she did not explain things clearly and gave me WRONG information about cystic fibrosis testing. I immediately switched OBs.
