| But Inhave no idea which one. This brand as pretty good reviews, but which model? It is expensive - is it worth? |
|
We got one of the basic ones right about 14 years ago.
Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-NSRNC-18A-Automatic-Cooker-Imprint/dp/B00005YXC1/ref=sr_1_37?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1329669218&sr=1-37 Its still working perfectly -- well worth the investment. Asian household, so we make rice probably 4+ times per week. I would highly recommend it. |
| They're crazy expensive and worth every penny. I love waking to perfect steel cut oats every winter morning. |
| Please tell how you prepare oats in the rice cooker -- I would love to try. |
| I'm almost embarrassed to say how I prepare the oats. Add 3 parts water to 1 part McCann's Steel Cut Oats. Set Zojirushi to 6am. That's it. You can adjust the water/oats as necessary and others have posted lots of different things to add on other threads. I keep it simple mostly because I like it plain and I don't want the rice cooker to smell like vanilla or cinnamon when I go to make rice. |
