Zojirushi? Thinking about getting a rice cooker....

We got one of the basic ones right about 14 years ago.

Its still working perfectly -- well worth the investment.
Asian household, so we make rice probably 4+ times per week. I would highly recommend it.

They're crazy expensive and worth every penny. I love waking to perfect steel cut oats every winter morning.

Please tell how you prepare oats in the rice cooker -- I would love to try.

I'm almost embarrassed to say how I prepare the oats. Add 3 parts water to 1 part McCann's Steel Cut Oats. Set Zojirushi to 6am. That's it. You can adjust the water/oats as necessary and others have posted lots of different things to add on other threads. I keep it simple mostly because I like it plain and I don't want the rice cooker to smell like vanilla or cinnamon when I go to make rice.
