weird stomach pains after eating

Anonymous
so this may be a dumb question, but i was not sick at all with my first pregnancy and this one is proving to be quite different, so ...normal/not normal to get bad stomach pains after eating? i seem to feel like i need to be in the fetal position if i eat a normal sized meal. i do ok with small bits, which i choke down in between bouts of what seem to be all day nausea, but if i eat a meal i feel like someone punched me in the stomach. any thoughts? is this just first trimester weirdness? i am only about 6 weeks. thanks!

One thing I might try is taking a tums. I've found during pregnancy that indigestion will take all sorts of bizarre forms that I have never experienced before (i.e. almost like cramping, tight stomach, or searing burning in actual chest). I'll take a tums and instantly these symptoms go away. So it's worth a shot. I don't recall getting indigestion as early as 6 weeks, but everyone is different.
