Jolie's passive-aggressive digs at Pitt are absurd. She hopes he will "eventually want peace for the family too." Which apparently translates to he should never see the kids and should let her sale of half of Miraval to a hostile party stand. Basically making it clear her actions are punitive based on his lawsuits against her re: custody and Miraval.

Well that's not true. If you read the article, plus all the others previously posted, she had no problem with visitation for Brad. A private arbitrator who did not disclose his connections with Brad and his conflict of interest granted joint custody ruling in favor of Brad. An appellate court reversed, so obviously Brad and his team were not playing fair. Reminds me of the bankruptcy judge down in Texas taking cases and not disclosing his personal connections with the female attorney who always prevailed in his court.

Sure. She just conditioned the kids to dislike and fear him, and obstructed their visits and contact at every turn.

She did not have to condition the kids, he did it to himself when he chose not to participate in visitation. He wanted it his way or nothing at all. You don't have to tell a child that their mother or father is a dirtbag or POS. It reveals itself by that parent's actions or lack thereof.

I didn't read all the previous pages but it's quite likely he was treating the adopted kids differently.They did a great job at bonding the kids together and the alcoholic father who physical/mentally harmed one or more of them is not going to break that bond. If anything it will push them closer.

Divorce is hard. A lot of people who aren't constantly under public scrutiny aren't the happiest people during this type of life transition. She was with the father of her six children for thirteen years before she said enough and filed for divorce. She probably stayed longer than she should have. She had to remain in the LA area due to conditions of the divorce and keeping the children in the same jurisdiction. It is what it is. Seems like she is finally getting her mojo back with the Tony winning Broadway show.

Do better in what sense. And when do they begin to do better? I have witnessed many divorces, some friends have bounced back quickly while others took a lot more time to find peace with the dissolution of their family unit. I witnessed one friend who went off the deep end and became an overbearing evangelical fundamentalist and to her she finds this to peaceful and happier than her marriage. Of course the transformation has been weird for her girlfriends to see, but we are supportive, nevertheless. What does do better mean to you?

You stated that she must have something on him because he had supervised visits. My point is that supervision is standard during an investigation (which in the end found No Abuse). Doesn’t mean she “has something on him” Just means he cooperated and did whatever was asked to see his kids-including submitting to random testing which wasn’t required of him.

The supervised visitations continued after CPS closed the case and they all had an agreement in place. It wasn't only during the investigation. There's evidence there

His kids aren't lost forever. He will always be their dad so the door will always be open should they choose to return. And "his abuse" exists in your mind. Nobody else believes it. Look at Angelina's life (train wreck) and look at Brad's life. He's living well. She's not.

Divorce is hard. A lot of people who aren't constantly under public scrutiny aren't the happiest people during this type of life transition. She was with the father of her six children for thirteen years before she said enough and filed for divorce. She probably stayed longer than she should have. She had to remain in the LA area due to conditions of the divorce and keeping the children in the same jurisdiction. It is what it is. Seems like she is finally getting her mojo back with the Tony winning Broadway show.

Yet we are told women do better after divorce. Why not this one?

Do better in what sense. And when do they begin to do better? I have witnessed many divorces, some friends have bounced back quickly while others took a lot more time to find peace with the dissolution of their family unit. I witnessed one friend who went off the deep end and became an overbearing evangelical fundamentalist and to her she finds this to peaceful and happier than her marriage. Of course the transformation has been weird for her girlfriends to see, but we are supportive, nevertheless. What does do better mean to you?

Which apparently translates to he should never see the kids and should let her sale of half of Miraval to a hostile party stand. Basically making it clear her actions are punitive based on his lawsuits against her re: custody and Miraval.

Well that's not true. If you read the article, plus all the others previously posted, she had no problem with visitation for Brad. A private arbitrator who did not disclose his connections with Brad and his conflict of interest granted joint custody ruling in favor of Brad. An appellate court reversed, so obviously Brad and his team were not playing fair. Reminds me of the bankruptcy judge down in Texas taking cases and not disclosing his personal connections with the female attorney who always prevailed in his court.

Sure. She just conditioned the kids to dislike and fear him, and obstructed their visits and contact at every turn.

She did not have to condition the kids, he did it to himself when he chose not to participate in visitation. He wanted it his way or nothing at all. You don't have to tell a child that their mother or father is a dirtbag or POS. It reveals itself by that parent's actions or lack thereof.

I didn't read all the previous pages but it's quite likely he was treating the adopted kids differently.They did a great job at bonding the kids together and the alcoholic father who physical/mentally harmed one or more of them is not going to break that bond. If anything it will push them closer.

I noticed stories about him have dramatically shifted from Shiloh and Knox being his mini brads to none of the kids visit him but that's okay because he's starting over with a new family. Telling and not in a good way

I mean, it's easy to make up anything because he generally has said very little about any of the kids, ever. Like all normal parents, both Hollywood and non-Hollywood. Angie is the strange parent who has exposed her children much more than other parents do.

Because she uses the children as part of her public image. She wants the “devoted mom” image, so she makes sure she is constantly papped with her children, does photo shoots with her children and talks about them in the press all the time. She doesn’t care about their privacy, because her public image is more important to her.

Rather it seems like you want the kids to snub dad to show that she "won". But what a hollow victory to cut kids off from their dad. Nobody wins in that case and she is no happier for it.
