I hope the GOP keeps going with this subject because we women vote and well over a majority of us don't want The US Congress, Rick Santorum or his backer, setting women's reproductive rights back to the stone age. Maybe I'm stupid or naive, or both, but I don't understand the "holding an aspirin between knees" comment. |
Nevermind, I just figured it out. |
Wait I don't get.... |
Can you have sex while holding an aspirin b/t your knees? |
Actually, I think I could. Just not missionary style. |
Talk about crying Wolf, dig this froma a TPM article (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/02/birth-control-hearing-not-really-about-birth-control-says-gop.php?ref=fpb)
OMG, what is this country coming to when old white guys might not have the religious freedom to tell women to keep their legs crossed! |
22:42 was me, in case I jump back in later (if there is a later on this idiocy). |
are we talking about boy/girl sex? |
It was an old Republican who made the joke. I'm sure he feels that boys and girls should wait until they are (married) men and women to have sex. BTW, I bet aspirin-kneed screwing is the big challenge of the day. |
LOL. I don't think I'll try! |
Gosh, how I wish you were right. Unfortunately, I think we as women are so stupid and harsh. Look at many of the women under 35, they think they have their Ivy League educations, contraceptions, and high paying jobs due to their own merits. They call women who relate to the feminist movement as mannish or other derogatory names. I bet many have never heard of Griswald v Connecticut, Gloria Steinam (sic), or Mary Terrell. Will many women vote against their own interests, you betcha. Unfortunately, many of them will not realize the impact until it is far too late. I hope I am wrong. I really do. |
No, he feels men should bang whoever they want, and women are either whores or virgins or faithful wives. Whores deserve whatever problems they get. Virgins and faithful wives - the good females of the world - don't have to worry about birth control. |
