| I just got laid off along with many others at my company. Any advice? Are there any good networking groups for 50+? |

Sorry to hear that. Here is a group called "Forty Plus" that has some good networking events. I think some are free and some are not:
http://www.40plus-dc.org/ The best books I've used are from the Five O'clock club...you can google them online. They sell paperbacks at a very low cost and help you to strategize the whole search process. I've always used them. To avoid age discrimination -- make sure you look as fresh as possible and have an updated outfit. Stay abreast of all tech developments ... be as energized and positive as possible. Good luck. |
