I love 701 for business because the food is reliably good and not weird and it is quiet and the service is excellent. But typically I'm taking out nonadventurous types, not into the steakhouse thing.

just to be clear, there is La Tasca, which is tapas/a little funky/fun in Gallery Place, and Tosca, very upscale northern italian on F closer to 12th st (11/12, I think)

This is closer to Capitol Hill but Charlie Palmer's would be great for a business dinner.

We do a ton of work lunches at District Chophouse on 7th St, and there are a ton of work groups there every time we go. Not sure about dinners, though.

OP - Thanks for the Recs. Unfortunately, I cannot stomach La Tosca Chinatown after I saw a rat there several years ago.
