My husband and I live in Alexandria, near the Foxchase Shopping Center. Any recommendations for good infant daycare in this area?
Thank you! |
I live near Landmark mall and really liked Creative World in the Eos condo complex. There's not too many choices in this part of town if you are looking for a daycare center. My daughter got off the waitlist, but we eventually decided to go with an in home provider. |
I've been looking for infant care in Alexandria too. (Center or home). Closer to Old Town though. Most of the options have such long wait lists and a lot of the home providers I found (via the city social service website) had a lot of violations. How did you find your home provider? |
I live near Landmark, too and would love to learn more about in-home providers in Alexandria. I agree that the in-home providers on the city's list had a bunch of violations.

12/27 post here. I went through the infant toddler program and found a great provider near landmark mall. I agree it was hard to find someone in this part of town. There weren't that many that I actually interviewed and ended up opening up my search to kingstown (which was on the way to my work). |
What is the infant toddler program?

Check out http://infanttoddler.com/ for more info. Basically, it's a network of inhome providers who receive support and extra training through the program. I really like the fact that I receive emails from the staff members who visit my provider periodically and give me a report about how my daughter was doing the day of the visit. It's very organized and there's backup providers if yours is ill. |
Thanks. That was very helpful. I just uncovered 2 more daycares in the Alexandria area that I did not know about. Thanks very much! |
