Christian Weekday Program (CWP in springfield)

Anonymous
Does anyone know anything about this program? its located at the Springfield United Methodist Church.
We are moving from MD to Springfield/Burke in spring/summer (for work) so we need to find a preschool and sign up now and there are some many preschools in the area, I am feeling overwhelmed.

Also considering
- Grace Presbyterian church preschool- springfield
-St. Stephens preschool- burke
or
Good Shepard preschool- burke

I would like a schools that has both a 2yr old program and a 4 year old program

and thought on Christian Weekday program or any of the others would be great.
Thanks.

My children currently attend CWP. They love it there. They are always singing new songs they have learned from music class. I like their reading program for the 4 y.o., after-school care program, Lunch Bunch, and flexible programs (2 days, 3 days or 5 days).

Responding late to the post on 2/6/14 but wanted to say I have had my son at CWP for two years, daughter starts in the fall. It is an AMAZING school. I have not one complaint!

It's been a while, but we loved St. Stephens. It's a great program.

Bumping this in case any of the CWP parents see- I am going to be a new parent this year to a child in the 2's class, and was just wondering how common it is for 2 year old's to go to after care and/or lunch bunch. Mine will have to go to after care on a semi regular basis and I am concerned she will be the only one in her age group!

My daughter attended CWP's 2s program two years ago. It's a nice program -- she enjoyed her year there (we moved from Alexandria). My daughter didn't do lunch bunch but about four kids from her class did so I wouldn't worry about your child being the only one. Best of luck to you!

Thank you 11:01! Any tips or anything to help the year go smoothly? Can you tell I am a little nervous?

Cwp is a lovely school. I have my daughter going since she was 2 she has done after care and before care. She was fine. She loved it. Shw went 5 days a week. Now that were in the summer she still asks to go to schoo every morning. If you child is 2 it will have a teacher called ms.duchter. she great and very helpful with teaching your child or uelping you with thing you need help at home like eating or mood swings. I recommend cwp. I might see you there September the 4!

11:01 again. No reason to be nervous although I totally understand. CWP was my daughter's first preschool experience and I really thought it was fantastic. The program is quite structured and I think that really helps the little ones acclimate quickly. My daughter loved imagination station and music and also really enjoyed preparing for the Christmas show. Finally, they also have special events during the year (e.g. meet Santa, Halloween trunk or treat, etc.) so it's a well-rounded program to introduce children to the culture of holidays. You're making a great choice and I'm sure within a few weeks you will feel that way too!

This socalled cwp preschool is a joke. The administration and teachers are not good with kids. My child was attended this preschool she was pretty good at start but we don't know what went wrong with my child after few weeks. Don't know why the teacher behavior changes every single day .we took our child to doctor to see what's wrong with our child? Doctor said that she's going in depression. So take care of your child because your child will become more sick and take your child out of this school because you don't know what the hell they do with kids. My child used to talk with us now she's just keep quiet I don't know what the hell they're teaching. So please be careful.

This place is horrible for people of color. My child was picked on by his teacher several times. His teacher mentioned to me several times how he is different from other student which all were not people of color. I highly advise to you to stay away from this place especially if you are people of color. Your child will be discriminated and isolated.
