While in Texas, he spent three hours recording a podcast episode with Joe Rogan, according to campaign officials. Mr. Rogan’s millions of followers are the type of young, male, low-propensity voters that Mr. Trump has been targeting.
He apologized to the crowd at his rally for being late and said: “I figured you wouldn’t mind too much.” In the podcast, Mr. Trump again floated the idea of eliminating income taxes in favor of tariffs. “Did you just float out the idea of getting rid of income taxes and replacing it with tariffs? Are we serious about that?” Mr. Rogan asked. “Yeah, sure,” Trump said. “Why not?” |
