Do Admissions ever follow up with current school/teacher re: recommendation form

Just curious if there is ever an instance when Addmissions may follow up with the current school or teacher with regards to the recommendation form for a child? Obviously after the form was submitted. Do they ever seek clarification or more information? TIA

Our school did. They actually had several conversations with them during the process. The director at the former school told me they had called a few times.
