I remember a thread a few weeks ago weighing the pros and cons of Modular Home Additions. We have spoken with two companies who have shown us some great work but both use the same parent company for floorplans etc. (Winn construction and Carbide Construction, both I would recommend taking a look at if you are in the market)
However, we would love to speak with a few more companies who do Modular additions to weigh our options, can anyone give some recs? Thanks |
Probably should ask this in Real Estate/Home Improvement. But, I have an honest question. Sometimes I look at additions, usually when ramblers are popped, and I think "they put a trailer on top of a house." Isn't what you describe literally adding a trailer to a house? Is Modular the same as "manufactured"? |

Thats what my initial belief was as well. And it took me a long time to "come around" to even looking at some in the area. After seeing some amazing portfolios and going through some in the area my idea of what they are changed completely. If I knew how to post a picture I could show you an example! yes--- some look like a tin can plopped on top of an exisiting house but others (esp. Winn who I mentioned above) look better than a lot of stick built we have seen.
And thanks for the advice about the home improvement section -- thats where I was trying to post this! |
