To All the Attorneys Out There - Certificate and Affidavit of Satisfaction

I have spent the past hour on Google and can't understand why I received a certificate and affidavit of satisfaction from Virginia. I assume it has to do with my recent refinance. My question is that my name is in the name of grantor/maker rather name of trustee. Is that correct? I have this fear that the title was somehow transferred without my knowledge and can't find any information that explain this document. Please help.

Your old loan was paid off and the original certificate of satisfaction needs to be recorded in the land records where your property was located. There is a cover page added to it. If yours has this cover page it was already recorded and you can discard it. If it does not have the cover page you need to get it filed in the land records of the county you live.
