Bleeding after Delivery

I delivered 5 and a half weeks ago and I am still bleeding, is that normal? I thought it would be done by now.

I bled for a little over 6 weeks.

I had a c-section and bled for 6 weeks. Lighter towards the end, but still there, and still bright red.

Off and on for 7 weeks. Every time I thought I was done (2 days no bleeding), I would go out of the house with no protection. Not fun.

Thank you for your responses. I am feeling better about my bleeding. It is light right now, but every once in a while it gets a bit heavier. I am looking forward to fully recovering.
