70% effaced?

At my 37 week appointment yesterday, they told me that I am 70% effaced. Is this any indication of a possible early delivery? I should have asked. Thanks!

could mean that - could also mean nothing -- I was 2 cms dilated and 50% effaced for a month!

I don't think it means much other than your body is getting ready for delivery. I have been 80% effaced for almost 2 weeks. Dr. said it means I could deliver yesterday or in a month. (As you can see, it is not an indication of anything for certain).

yeah, sort of frustrating, at the end when you don't know when the baby is coming. I suppose you just have to give up on trying to control the situation. I do understand the anxiety.
