I was told it is differnt than the ISEE or SSAT and more like the WISC-IV for 2-5th. Is this true? If so do you prepare for the ERB? I have only heard of prep sites for SSAT and ISEE. My DD is taking it while in school over 4 days. Any insight would be appriciated.

I would disagree (though feel free to correct me). I would liken it more to the SSAT. No, don't prep for it. If its anything like at our school, it's really just to get a feel for how the school curriculum is doing to prepare students. Yes, you will certainly get individual scores, but don't stress. Make sure DC gets sleep the night before, eats breakfast, and doesn't stress, and it will be ok.

| OP - THANKS! |
| Our kids took the ERBs every year from 3rd grade through 8th grade. Some schools start at 2nd grade. I am surprised your school is just starting at 5th. No prep needed. However you should be aware that if you are applying out the test scores (just for the prior year) are usually included as part of the transcript. |
No worries. The schools will only use the results just to get a feel for how well their curriculum and teachers are teaching the material. |
You are lucky then. When we applied out for 9th grade all the schools required the 7th grade ERB scores in addition to SSATs. |
