| Seems so dumpy, and yet so expensive. Also, do any families live there? It's a very odd neighborhood. |
| Loved being there with young kids--lots of families, and walkable to parks and shopping. |
| Loads of families live there. I don't get your question. |
| I know next to nothing about Glover Park, but I've always heard awesome things about it. This post reeks of being written by someone who has personal jealousy issues toward one particular GP resident. |
| Current GP resident here. It's a wonderful neighborhood. Sour grapes, OP? |
| OP, you are a troll. Stay out of Glover Park because we don't want you here. |
| New poster here - always thought Glover Park was dull, but its appeal wasn't hard to discern. Good location and boring enough to attract young families. |

So PP give us 2 examples of exciting neighborhoods and then list a couple of reason each one is universally exciting and not boring. Keeping in mind that this is a parenting board so if you were inclined to talk about after-hours clubs or the like, those wouldn't be relevant really.
Seriously I'm curious where the exciting throbbing neighborhoods are for parents. |
| I lived there in my early 20s and was bored out of my mind. But it seemed like a great neighborhood for young kids. |
| Boring is as boring does. |
Clarendon? |
| Sounds like you still are a bore. |
| Clarendon? LOL |
Del Ray Takoma Park Clarendon Mount Pleasant Georgetown Capitol Hill All these places are less boring than Glover Park. Face it, it has no more panache than a typical neighborhood in NE that most of you would never give the time of day. All it has going for it is that it's in a safe part of NW. |
That's pretty important to a lot of people. But strip club arsons aren't exciting enough for you? |
