How common will unexpected pregnancies be with this Pfizer birth control mix up?

On top of that, how many lawsuits will Pfizer be facing?

Curious about the lawsuits, too. What type of damages can someone claim for an unplanned pregancy?

Depends on the lawyer, I guess.

Anyone got a link for what we're talking about here?

Financial of course, and maybe emotional (but that would be harder - kind like the "wrongful life" type of lawsuit).

Filing a lawsuit would be damaging for the families who do it. The child will know they were not planned and maybe think they are not wanted. I guess Pfizer will have to pay for therapy too.

I'd make them pay for every single expense I have with the child until they reach adulthood.

Does any birth control claim ti be 100% effective?
I don't see how suing is possible when two people willingly had sex (with pregnancy always a potential).

They're pulling it out the market because there's something wrong with it.

I feel even worse for those who take BCP for medical reasons and have been wondering why they're suffering from their symptoms even though they're taking the medication properly.

Pfizer said Wednesday that it believes only 30 packs had packaging problems, including having the active and inert tablets out of order, or lacking the proper amount of each kind of pill. The company said it recalled a million packs in the U.S. to be safe.

Probably not that big a deal statistically.

I agree, as well.

Interesting how the Wall Street Journal article called pregnancy an "adverse event." Sad that a human being could be referred to that way.
