Home Warranty and a 10 year old appliance?

| We bought our house a couple of months ago and have a home warranty. It appears that the 10 year old dishwasher is broken. I think it's an electric panel issue, so I'm sure they could repair it by replacing the electric board, but honestly I just want a new dishwasher because I'm a little grossed out by this one. Someone told me if there is a problem with a 10 year old appliance they will automatically recommend just replacing it. Has anyone had experience in this area? |

| Honestly, there are so many exceptions and exclusions in those home warranties you will probably end up replacing it yourself. |
