VA bias?

Is it just me, or does it seem that in general, these boards skew more VA than MD? Obviously, many parents are in the District, but for the suburban families, it seems that the majority of posters are in Virginia.

Is my perception off, or have others noticed this too?

I wonder if Jeff keeps any stats on where posters are coming from? I suppose it wouldn't really be accurate since people could live in one state and post from there and work in another and post from there as well.

Based on population, I would expect that there are more NoVA posters than MD posters. Add demographics in and I would expect it to skew even more VA.

I disagree. I think MoCo by far. Especially Bethesda area on here. There are probably more topics arguing about VA but more posters from MD.

Yes-- VA makes for a good punchline. I'm sure that's part of the reason it comes up so often.

I agree with this. The MD posters seem pretty limited to MoCo, sprinkled with PGCo.

I don't think so - I see lots of posts from people in DC and MoCo, fewer from those in other MD counties. (I'm a VA person, but that's just because my first job was in VA and I moved there - I have nothing against MD.)

The private school forum is mostly DC and Montgomery Co.
