| Curious, who is the biggest X factor from the state contending teams? |
Another goalie parent here and we also heard from them as well as one of the other Catholic schools and one of the MD privates so I believe the better teams are always thinking about goalie depth and may have been in touch, but parents are kidding themselves if they think their special boy the only one or reading too much into it. |
X Factors, but not the ones your looking for, I suspect: 1. Indy - Can they stay disciplined the whole season? 2. Madison - Is "good enough", enough to be special? 3. Robo - Can they score against a good team? 4. YT - One trick pony in #3, can anyone else step up? 5. Battlefield - See Madison 6. Cosby - Are they ready for primetime or just the bully of the south? HM- Langley - Did "the choke" happen starting in week 1 or are they going to gag in the playoffs again? |
| I do think defense wins championships. 1,2,3 seem to have the defense units that could get it done. As we get closer to June, games will be closer and probably the first team to 10 wins games. Robinson defense looks pretty good but so does Indy and Madison. Goalie play might be the X factor. |
| Urbana vs. Riverside will be a great matchup today. Two of DMVs top Publics. |
|
oooh, that will be a good game to track.

Because "LaxNumbers sucks", it's current top 6 ratings: 1) Independence (87.21) 2) Robinson (86.85) 3) Cosby (86.48) 4) Battlefield (85.51) 5) Madison (85.42) 6) Yorktown (83.2) Same top 6, slightly different order, you can see the clustering of 4/5/6. Robinson's schedule rating (82.6) and Madison's (82.42) are tops of the best 6. Lowest are Cosby (76.88) which makes sense geographically, Independence (78.34), and Battlefield (79.64). |
Good goalie? Yes. Underwhelming performance in some games? Also yes. No need to toot your own horn #3(langley) |
Other decent 6a matchups (based on records): Westfield 4-4 at Chantilly 6-3 Battlefield 6-2 at Patriot 6-4 Mclean 4-5 at 4-2 Herndon Centreville 4-3 at Oakton 4-3 There is no "someone has to win" game today, but 0-4 Justice plays 1-3 Mount Vernon and that's a great chance for them to get a win. |
|
Predictions:
Battlefield 16, Patriot 5 Chantilly 13, Westfield 10 McLean 9, Herndon 7 Oakton 12, Centreville 6 |
| anyone laid eyes on #33 marshall adam sullivan? if anyone was to step up and take marshall by hand it would be him |
Marshall’s #33 Adam Sullivan looks like he wandered onto the field by accident—every play is a step behind, every pass just a little off, and somehow he makes the basics look complicated. You keep expecting him to turn it around, but instead he’s out there inventing new ways to struggle. At this point, it’s less competition and more a lesson in what not to do on a lacrosse field. |
Take them where? First round exits? A 3-8 record? This ego from players thinking they are good because they can somewhat perform against bad public school teams has to stop |
Doesn’t include the Saturday games. This has been updated. |
For a public school, he is by far one of the better goalies. Wasnt he at Landon at one point and did he reclass at some point? Thought he was a 2027 |
