| I have a black and white herringbone loveseat in my office. Hideous. The herringbone is medium sized so that you can clearly see the pattern. All my office furniture is black (think 80s with the gold trim) and I have institution white walls. I am thinking something with color to make it pop, but I really suck at this sort of thing. What kind of pattern can I use? I'd like something not just a plain color, but is that best? |

Herringbone is a geometric print so you can go with something like a big bright floral and it wouldn't clash. You want to keep in mind that if you are mixing two different prints you want to keep the scale different. So, you can do a small print (like a herringbone) with a big print (like a few big flowers or a few large central images) and it won't clash. What you don't want to do is use two small prints (or two big prints) together because then they will be competing for attention. With a black and white background, the sky's the limit in terms of color.
Good Luck. |

here's what I got. Hoping this works well! The whole office is black. Black desk and bookcase. Black and white sofa. Black office chair. I'm trying to soften it with light blues and greens...
