Botox for forehead wrinkles?

Anonymous
I have horrible, very deep horizontal forehead wrinkles. They bother me so much. Will botox cure them? Is that the only solution?

I've never had botox in my forehead before. I get it for crow's feet and for the 11's. I get it at the following location and believe this dermatologist will give you her honest opinion. Additionally, her technique is wonderful...no discomfort! She charges about $280 for 20 units which is what I use for each area (crow's feet is 280 and the 11's are each 280)

I tried to post a link to her website, but for some reason it's not working. Give her a call though and good luck!

I wouldn't call my horizontal forehead wrinkles deep but botox works well on them. You will certainly look better at least. It might take a little time for the skin to relax after you first get it done.

How many units does it take for the crow's feet? How often do you get it done?

I will have awful crow's feet - already have eye wrinkles and I'm 34. When did you start getting yours done?

How long does it last?

How long does it last, and is it preventatve? I thought I'd remembered hearing that doing Botox early helped prevent wrinkles. I'm okay with the numbers of forehead wrinkles now but I could see it getting worse later.

PP here again. I pay $280 for crow's feet and it lasts 3-4 months. My Dr. starts with 20 units and this seems like a perfect amount for me. According to my derm, if you get it done regularly(every 3-4 months) it will eventually last longer and you won't have to go as often b/c the muscle will begin to atrophy. I am about to turn 38 and just started getting it done. It's fantastic and didn't hurt a bit. My Dr. places an ice pack on the skin just before injection which distracts the brain from perceiving any pain. I asked if it is preventative and my Dr. said yes, that this was the original use. Mine looks very natural.

Botox definitely works on the forehead. I started doing it a year ago (at age 49) - works great, I go every 3-4 months. I was told it should start to be less often. I also get it around my eyes (and this is the part I really like having done)
