| It is only a half day already.... |
| I'd say they are pretty good. City of Alexandria is delayed. |
| If FCPS schools are delayed 2 hours, elementary schools will be on a Tues-Fri dismissal schedule. |
| oh, eff that crap. explain to me why in the world we can't get the kids to school tomorrow. It's been all weekend. |
When schools open two hours late, the following will apply: On Monday, elementary schools (which usually close early on Mondays) will close at their usual Tuesday through Friday time. |
Really? I didn't know this! |

Pp again, a link to verify

. I think this is all for freezing rain tonight |
|
Thanks! |
Sorry, but the fact that you are sick of your kids has nothing to do with whether the roads and sidewalks are safe or not. |
And if you're implying that this has something to do with Friday's weather, it doesn't. We're supposed to get rain or freezing rain tonight, with the temps dropping below freezing through 8am or so. |
Additionally, I think many of us would hope that like you'd rather those children who ride buses or walk to school early in the morning be safe, regardless of your annoyance at having to 'put up' with your children for the whole weekend. |
|
OK, see, that's what happens when I take the weekend off from The Weather Channel. I honestly didn't know about freezing rain for tonight.
I can't win no matter what happens tomorrow. It's nice that the 2 hour delay would change the monday schedule...except I JUST signed my daughter up for a monday afternoon class and will be eating that damn money since she won't get out of school in time to go. ACK! |
| Alexandria and Prince William have a delay, but FCPS doesn't?? |
| FCPS, no delay . I am very surprised, but it is 32 degrees already at 6:30. Better wake the troops . |
