It seems like everyone who was redistricted from the Rosemary Hill ES to Bethesda ES in 2013 is trying to get their kid into Bethesda ES one year early in 2012 so that their kid won't have to make another school transition. How many of these hardship waivers will Bethesda ES approve and what is the criteria for the hardship? |
There is a lot of humor in the name alone: "hardship" waiver. I think they are actually coming up with the name "my own convenience" waiver...to be verified... |
I'm interested to know what the claimed hardships are? Without going into details we actually may have a hardship the following year, in 2013, and it's a little irritating to think that people without real hardships will erode the definition of "hardship"
Why would they be trying to get in a year early? Are they afraid that they are going to be re-districted back into Rosemary Hills? Isn't it also the case that it takes a practical act of congress to get your kid to be allowed to start school one year early? |
I understand why some parents are doing this. If my child were entering K in 2012, I'd prefer him to start at Bethesda ES, rather than go to RH for a year, then switch. However, for those whose kids are already at RH, the switch would be more for "my own convenience." |
20:58 here again. Never mind, I think I understand the situation after reading the PP - the redistricting doesn't start until 2013. That folks are trying to falsely claim hardship is still irritating, however.

javascript:emoticon('![]() Rosemary Hills has 9 classes for each grade. I find the postings a tad rude. |
19:51, you hit the nail on the head. RH has 9 classes for each grade which is why everyone is trying to get transfers to BE to start K in 2012. |
That East Bethesda lobby and its appendix of corrupt government officials is really annoying. |
