The only cereals I like are Corn Chex and regular Cheerios. Are there any other cereals which are not too sweet, that I might like. Wheaties, too sweet, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, too sweet. I've tried some cereals from Trader Joes that I thought would be what I was looking for, turned out they tasted like Frosted Flakes.
I like Shredded Wheat, but just not with milk. |
| plain generic bran flakes from Giant and I add my own walnuts and raisins |

You may want to try puffed rice which won't have any added sugar. Then sweeten it if you need to.
I like this site: http://www.foodfacts.com/nutritionalinformation_Cold-Cereals/17/207 You can see how many grams of sugar there are b/f you buy. For you, I would say 5 grams or less if you don't like it sweet. |
| Wheat chex |
OP here, this is a great site! It looks like the 2 cereals I like so far have 1 and 3 grams of sugar per serving, so I will just look for other ones with similar grams/serving. |
| I like Kashi for cereals. Cascadian Farms and Barbara's are also good. I would recommend going away from the main cereal aisle and going to the organic section where these brands are usually sold. They tend to be a little bit less processed and have less sodium and sugar. Be careful of sodium as well - it is so many foods that you don't think of as salty. |
| Kix |
| Kashi Go Lean (not the Go Lean Crunch, too sugary) and Barbara's Puffins. |

Kashi Good Friends Original cereal.

| I make my own granola with only a bit of maple syrup to sweeten. |
| Wheat Chex! I like kashi go lean crunch but it is sweet |
| Cheerios. With banana slices. Or yogurt. |
I thought this was off the market. |
| Weetabix. |
