It's not weird. In fact, many African American families have "home going" ceremonies that focus on celebrating the life of the individual vs focusing solely on being overcome with sadness about the passing. There's laughter, reminiscing about good times, and a more positive focus. Then, at the repast, most people (especially younger folks) change out of their funeral clothes because that's more like a family reunion and is pretty relaxed. Why don't you try to learn about other cultures before passing judgement, k?

This is 100% true. I'm white and when my neighbor passed on suddenly, his funeral was almost like a roast. We all told our favorite stories of his life, cracked a lot of jokes, and hardly cried at all. Afterwards we had a wonderful dinner with his family.

I'm not specifically defending her, I'm defending common human decency and kindness. I am glad that being part of this thread has taught me something about myself - that I don't tolerate extreme negativity and hatred and would rather stand up for positivity than add to the bs negativity.

Yeah I am being negative towards people who are outwardly being hateful. I think that's deserved. While the rest of you are being negative towards things that Danni posts and dissecting them beyond reality. Again, Danni has never said anything half as specifically negative or hurtful about anything like some of you have about her. You guys deserve it WAY more than she does.

Thank you Now please go away, because you haven't convinced one person yet with your gospel. Danni is nasty, and nothing will change that. She lost her job and managed to bring that drama to her cousin's death. What kind of decent person does that? But you don't have to respond to me.
