| /decorate a birthday cake? Can I bake it tonight and decorate it tomorrow for a party on Saturday? Not planing on eating it.... just for decoration/place to stick a candle purpose. The decoration consists of icing only. |

| if you are not eating the cake AND you are using FONDANT, then I think you can do it now. If you are using regular frosting (not professional types of sugar), then it's too soon. Max. 48 hrs before or it will dry out, colors may bleed, and generally look "old." |

You can bake it tonight and freeze it (just the cake), then ice it Friday night or Saturday morning.
Do you really mean no one will eat it?! |
