I'm looking for a good doctor to do this for the "11"'s between my eyebrows, and maybe the horizontal line across my forehead. I'm not debating, I've already made my decision to do it. Now I'm starting to look into local doctors or spa clinics with doctors who do this procedure, and try to find the best combination of price and quality.
My thinking is plastic surgeons would be most expensive, followed by derm, then docs operating a side clinic. Is that about right, or are prices pretty consistent? I *might* consider a PA or NP, but only if they came highly recommended. Also, I met with one clinic who had an RN doing the Botox who said they have no before/ after photos. Huh? She "explained" it was for privacy for their patients' identities... Yes, I can kind of see that might be true, but wouldn't you be wary of a doctor/practitioner who wouldn't provide before/ after's? If you would not mind sharing your doctors name and what you paid, I would appreciate it! Also, are there any upcoming Botox parties with your doctor that you know of? Thanks! |
| P/S - I'm asking here because few to no offices will quote prices over the phone and it seems like a waste of my time and theirs to just go for a consult to get the information. |
| I would only go to a plastic surgeon who is highly recomended. Do not bargain shop! It is your face and I have heard too many horror stories. |

Dr. Isaacs, a highly recommended derm. in DC
Cost: $600. But she undertreats and asks you to come back in two weeks to see the results so you aren't overdone. I went back and she did a little more, cost $500 more. Dr. Isaacs does it; not a RN. |
| Dr Alisha Braun in DC. She is great, fair price and does a great job. Uses it herself. I love my results. When to a Medspa the first time and was never happy. |
| I haven't had it done myself, but I hear great things about the doctors at Cultura in Chevy Chase. |
