Does anyone remember the date of the last day of school for DCPS last year? (SY 2010-2011)

Monday June 20th was a 1/2 day because Kaya can't count to 180.

Wasn't 10-11 calendar set well before Rhee pulled a Palin and quit? Not sure why last year matters, but like this year it DCPS asks for comments way in advance of school year. I may not like it (why do PD during school year if teachers don't/won't use info that year?). But it's inaccurate to say DCPS doesn't ask for input to meet legal requirements. It may be crazy, but it's not exactly incompetence or obsfucation. We have bigger things to complain about IMHO.

No, the last day was Friday until OSSE and Kaya realized that they need another day to make it the full 180 required by law. So at the last minute, a week before school let out, Monday was made the last day.

It was silly and stupid and sad.

Kaya can't count.

The calendar was set way before Kaya assumed the Chancellor position. Matter of Fact the calendar discussion for this period fell under Dr. Janey.

Yes, Janey set the last day as Friday. Then Kaya and her people messed up the number of days due to a snow day and added a half day on Monday, a week before school let out.

This was last year, seriously, you can't recall this?
