Gaylord

DH and I are coming to town for 2 nights over the weekend. We are staying at the Gaylord, we are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner and maybe a spa to get a massage.
I haven't been to the area in years, but I don't remember anything in that exact area. I am willing to drive to Arlington for dinner if needed. I really don't care for the chains I saw listed in the area and I didn't read any great reviews about the restaurants in the hotel itself.
I realize there is a spa in the hotel but the fees were ridiculous!
Any input would be appreciated! And if you have been to a restaurant in or near the hotel that would be great to hear about too
We are looking for something a little quiet and romantic, maybe like Eventide, but it looks pretty far.

The Gaylord is is sort of a weird location -- maybe you can take the ferry over to Georgetown for dinner?

Take ferry to Old Town, and eat at Restaurant Eve. Also, there is a spa, Sugar House, that many like in Old Town as well.

We went to old town and ate at Momo Sushi, yum!!
Then we did massages at massage envy, it was great! Not really a "spa" expereince, but relaxing either way. Then we hung out in the hot tub, so all in all a great experience.
But wow, that place is the true meaning of tourist trap.

EVE is fantastic.

There is nothing you want to go to anywhere near the Gaylord, unless you cross the bridge to Old Town.

Agree with PPs. The Gaylord is pretty to look at... from across the river.
