What makes a happily married loyal husband, stare at other women?

I’m satisfied and I look. My eyes are open. Might as well point them in a nice direction.

100% are looking. Same as you women.

When men check out other women, do they compare their features with their wife?

If the other women they check out are more attractive then their wife, do they feel dissatisfied with their wife’s looks?

From a guy’s standpoint, it’s non of these. You women are so clueless.

Or dead inside.

I'm a woman and married, but not dead. I could not keep my eyes off this fine specimen of a man in a meeting the other day. I could not stop thinking of all the nasty things I would do to him if I had a chance.

Yes, I love my DH and am loyal.

LOL

I'm a bisexual woman and I look at both.

For the same reason I was happy when I heard there will be a fourth Thor movie with Chris Hemsworth! They got eyes!

It would be nice if we can get a man’s perspective on this.

Nope this is one of the big differences between men and women

I am constantly surprised how women are so judgemental and comparing over everything

Here is a classic example at a gym an attractive fit woman walks by

Woman reaction looks at specific bodyparts to compare or criticize takes into account clothes/makeup might make a judgement about spending too much time at gym and not with family/spouse

Man reaction Hooottt lasts about 1-3 seconds then move on to next thing

Man here - I check out other women but don't ogle or leer. I don't compare them to my wife nor do I feel dissatisfied with my wife's look. The other woman may be stunning, but she could be a pain in the butt. My wife is very pretty and off the charts great in so many areas.

man here and the answer is simple. We notice/check out (not stare, leer or ogle) another attractive women and admire whatever attributes she has that we find attractive. Unless there is a deeper dissatisfaction in the marriage or something deep negative feelings toward his wife, a man typically does not compare this woman to our wife. Perhaps in that nanosecond, there is a little thought of what she looks like naked, or tastes like, or something more sexual, but that's just linked to testosterone, sexual drive and generally because we're horny all the time.

Generally don't compare with wife & whatever I see doesn't make me any more or less dissatisfied with my wife's looks.

Just because I check out a Ferrari doesn't mean I'm disappointed in my Mercedes. But if I was driving a 15 year old mini-van I might be dissatisfied.
