Can I say something as a Middle Eastern Christian whose community is slowly dwindling after millennia of our own culture and heritage?

I have ZERO sympathy for the argument that Israel is the only Jewish homeland. None.

If you came to me and told me you could give my people a homeland, all it takes is killing and displacing a million Muslims who have been persecuting and killing my people anyway--- my answer is NO. The moral answer is always NO. Keeping my values clean and my hands clean is always more important than keeping my culture from disappearing, and it very much is disappearing as people emigrate and slowly assimilate into other countries.

I do appreciate that Israel feels like a special place to many Jews, but I also think part of that feeling has resulted from ugly manipulations and misleading facts which sweep away the great immortality of Israel’s actions towards others. That's fine and very understandable. However, so far the US has spent about $300 Billion supporting Israel. And the Israel of today is not the Israel of yore. Netanyahu and his government of ultra-orthodox thugs just killed 85,000 mostly innocent people in Gaza, invaded Lebanon and sent another 1 million people fleeing for their lives, sent 700,000 religious zealots in to the West Bank to take more land and terrorize people, and launched a major with the Iran, which has caused chaos and the US to expend an enormous percentage of its most advanced munitions. We literally just used half of all our THAAD interceptors - what we use to defend against a nuclear attack - to protect Israel while not being able to protect our own bases in the Gulf.

You have to ask, why is the US spending such an enormous amount of money and resources to fight for a tiny but extremely belligerent country of no strategic relevance to the US? It's not 1948 anymore. There is no justification for this in 2026. And that's not a left or right issue. Pretty much everyone under 50 thinks the massive amount of money and military resources we spend on Israel is nuts.
