Rejections

I agree that VCU is a place where this kid could thrive.

If kid wants a more typical college experience & solid academics, then going south or west would take them to schools like Auburn, Kansas, Arizona, & more.

How to get 4.95 WGPA? that's almost all APs, which school in DMV?

Many schools in our area give 0.5 for honors and +1.0 for AP but also give 0.33 for an A+. Top kids can have just around 5.0 if they take the max which is 2/3 AP and 1/3 honors and get almost all A+.

4.3W is a bit above average . 4.8 is around top 10%. Know your school.

Blair Magnet. Half of classes are Magnet STEM, the other half are AP/Honors Humanities/English. Foreign language started in in middle school, by the time high school freshman at level 3 which counts as Honors. An A in Magnet/AP/Honors is counted as 5.0. The only class that is not in these categories is Physical Education (2 semesters). That's why it can never be WGPA 5.0
