It’s all theater. Political theater!

$20 says the shooter is a random homeless guy

And news updates now say the Guards are in critical condition but not dead.

Probably. Police struggle with random crime like this situation. Mentally ill and access to guns.

Hopefully they will pull through.

Two things can be true - they were deployed as bait with no care for their safety; and killing is wrong. Now let’s turn to gun control, hm?

Sure, gun control. You go first. What policy is going to take the millions of guns off the streets? Google says there are nearly 400 million guns in the US. It's too late to change this. What we need to do instead is help people understand what it means to respect people regardless of their political beliefs, the color or their skin, their religion, etc. No one should be saying anything other than this shooter is a deranged human and should be punished severely. There is nothing that justifies this behavior.

Whose fault is it that there are 400 million guns and this will only increase?

No 48 hour rule today, huh?

There is no 48 hour rule to call for better gun control in the wake of a gun crime.

Common sense gun control is ALWAYS ok.

Nobody wants to hear your political rant minutes after a murder.

Republicans continue to block common sense gun control.

They have blood on their hands.

I wonder if the videos released of the suspect will be in the same amazing 160p quality like all the other recent (or attempted) public shootings.

One shooter hitting some NG troops at Farragut? Solo domestic terrorist, maybe.

There are 400 million-plus guns in America. It's too late for "gun control", "common sense" or not. "Gun control" died at Sandy Hook, when 21 little children will slaughtered and *nothing* changed.
