it is the implication and it shows extremely poor judgement. Service members are taught what to do. They don't need drama queens encouraging them to question their chain of command. Just because you don't like an order does not make it illegal.

We should be questioning Trump’s and republicans responses. It seem they know illegal orders have or will be given. Their reaction is crazy.

Reaction now includes a Pentagon investigation of Senator Kelly.

That rich-- a convicted felon is investigating someone who is both an astronaut and military veteran.

Corrected

That's rich-- a convicted felon is investigating someone who is both an astronaut and military veteran. Kelly makes him feel like a little squealing loser pig of a man, that's why.

Fuller response from Sen. Kelly:

LWhen I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents.

In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much.

Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death.

If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.”

Excellent response.
Trump is such a small man.

I guess we're now officially calling DoD the Dept. of War. Looks like their website was updated to reflect that, too.

Seriously, you know the lunatics have taken over the asylum when Secretary Smirnoff heads the Department of War (last time we had that name was when, back in 1945) and goes after an astronaut and Navy veteran. How can MAGA support this stupidity.

And they’re going to spend $2 billion on the name change.

Every one of these overgrown toddlers acts like they’re playing pretend in the back yard.

I hope this backfires spectacularly.

Kelly should hold the course and keep repeating his message over, and over, and over. Until every single American hears it and understands what service before self means.

I hope it creates such a groundswell and support for Kelly (from moderate Republicans and Democrats) that he considers a run in 2028.

I'd like to take this moment to remind everyone that Trump faked having bone spurs to avoid military service.

And the conservative radio hosts spent more time saying “for them (the democrats) to put out a message like that, they must also explain the necessity of putting out that message.” I didn’t realize that everyone is required to explain free and legal speech. Why aren’t they discussing the administrations extreme overreaction to the rational statement “don’t obey unlawful orders.” Trump says some of the dumbest things imaginable and they all stand around like deaf mutes when he does.

Everything about this administration is a joke and quite insulting to America. A bunch of maga fools running around fighting to spread Russian propaganda with Donald Trump, of all people, as their leader?

LMAO.

Hegseth isn’t qualified to polish Kelly’s boots.
