And then there are about a half a dozen of us with zero affiliation to this school who point out that this person is nuts. thus, 13 pages

This kind of nonsense post is why it's at 14 pages. Pretty much every good college's applications are up over pre-pandemic numbers. Kids go wild now applying to lots of schools. Middlebury's have declined recently. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but nothing wrong with someone looking at this number, along with the demographic cliff, particularly in the Northeast, as well as financials, and ask his well Middlebury will weather the storm. Seems like a reasonable question. And I'm saying that as someone with zero connection to the school.

Hi Troll, we know that it is you despite your protestation. None of your other obviously nonsensical attempts have succeeded so why do you believe that this one will? "will Middlebury weather the storm" has got to be new heights of stupidity, even for yourself.

Applications are down, even as they got rid of their supplemental essays in an attempt to goose their numbers.

Troll please stop you just look stupid. Middlebury stopped requiring supplemental essays in 2009 when they were ranked in the top 5 in the country by USNWR. I'm pretty confident in saying that they weren't trying to goose their numbers.
