Republicans are over-confident right now.

Biden’s debate performance is the worst debate performance in US history. The american public has never witnessed a president be so confused, frail, and incoherent, in US history.

Democrats are coping and saying it’s just one night, he had a cold, he’s old, he can’t speak well anymore but his heart is in the right place, etc. But it’s just major cope. Nothing will bring Biden back after appearing in front of the world looking and sounding like he did.

I could be wrong, but I see democrats clinging onto Joe and keeping hope alive until election day. Once he loses, everyone posting here will attack Joe like they did RBG. Hindsight is 20/20, and it is going to depress democrats to look back and realize they spent months lying to themselves day and day and pretending Joe still had a chance. He doesn’t. It’s over.

You think most Americans care about one debate performance vs voting in a narcissistic wannabe dictator who thinks he is above the law?

Who is "most Americans?" The Republican half of the country believes the statement you just made applies to the Democrats, who they see as abusing the legal systems, the courts and the Federal bureaucracy to take out Donald Trump. And they may have a point. The New York cases should have never happened. Even the former governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, said people were right to be concerned about the felony trial and how it happened. There are partisans who would make Trump a felony just for jaywalking.

I don't doubt there are many people in the middle, who don't like Trump but who also are bothered by how the Democratic establishment overrode precedence and the laws and courts to try to take him out in ways that are more comparable to Soviet/Chinese style show trials. Unfortunately, the whole Biden is sharp as tack turned out to be among the biggest Emperor's new clothes of recent years. A lot of people feel betrayed by it and don't trust anything said by the party or the national media, especially as we knew for a long time Joe Biden wasn't well. And the Democrats shut out opposition to Biden from within the party, cancelling primaries and destroying Dean Phillips and even punishing him by redistricting him out of his district. Compare that to the GOP, who did actually try to stop Trump, they had primaries, multiple candidates ran against him, the senate GOP leaders were far from fond of him, but the voters had their say and the voted democratically voted for Trump as their nominee.

Who is really above democracy here? Trump or the Democrats? Right how it's hard not to see that the Democrats are, all in the name of "saving democracy."

so if your neighbor stole nuclear secrets and participated in election interference, there should be no consequence?

Nope. An intra-party squabble among Dems has been the GOP’s game plan all along. The MSM is pushing hard to make that happen because they need the drama to generate clicks. MSM would love Biden to step aside.

Fail We May, Sail We Must.

The intraparty squabble doesn't lose us votes. People will vote for whoever emerges, since it will be a dynamic and energetic younger person. It's Biden who is costing us votes. The majority of voters are relatively uninvolved and don't like seeing a decrepit old man in the White House especially one who LIES when he pretends he's full of vim and vigor. They're not voting for Trump, the habitual liar currently in dementia. BUT THEY WILL STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY.

Elections are about turnout. Biden will cost us the election because people will stay home on Election Day.

This is unfortunately true. I honestly can’t imagine voting for either man, so I could see myself either not voting or writing someone in.

Same. I’ve never sat out a presidential election. But I can’t bring myself to vote for genocide Joe.

You are free to not vote, that is your choice. But there will only be one of two OUTCOMES: trump or Joe. If you are OK with a trump outcome don’t vote for Joe.

Depending on your state, abstaining is usually a vote for someone whether you like it or not. These elections are so close that striking out a Biden vote with your Trump vote can make all the difference.

So Tapper quoted “1984” today in regards to Biden. That's... Weird.

What’s weird about it? People on this site have been pointing out that the media is right wing owned and operated and that’s correct.

I agree. I would certainly never vote for Trump. And if I lived in a swing state I would vote Biden if he is indeed the candidate. I am part of the solid blue base. HOWEVER, I am not the vote that counts. If you think that Biden's debate performance did not cost him vote from those who matter (swing/new/independent voters in swing states) you are deluding yourself. This is a serious problem and it is very troubling that Dems do not see it as such. In polls that I have seen Harris has the same approval and % of vote in a general election against Trump and this is without any campaigning other than messaging from Biden's camp that she can't win. The Democrats will lose the election unless they switch candidates. It's simple. It's clear.

That's the question, isn't it! And no one knows the answer!!

The stress. Oy, the stress.

Are you saying that the right-wing, conservative media is so open-minded that they allow/encourage MSNBC, CNN, etc to give all those liberal viewpoints on a very consistent basis?

Yeah, Biden is old. But I wonder why no one ever asks Trump, with all his baggage, to drop out first. If Trump goes, so does Biden. That would be an equal footing and an equal solve.

And I’d still rather be in the position Democrats are in rather than that of the GOP. I don’t love how old my candidate is, but that’s pretty much my only quibble with him vs Trump, who is all downside.

Enough of Trump, this is the third time he is running. When will he just go away.

Agree. This country is in deep trouble. Listen to Bannon, Johnson, Miller. This is who you want running the US? We are doomed.

Because Trump has always been this way and his base inexplicably loves him and will vote for him.

Democrats have been overconfident since 2008. They like to act like progressivism is a force of nature that can't be stopped, only temporarily slowed.

They don't realize that progressivism = decadence and is a sign of a collapsing empire. If a civilization were the stock market, the point at which is becomes the most progressive is a massive sell signal.

That's for sure. Especially once, if elected, people see that the policies of the current Republican party (maga/far right) won't do anything to help this country, and will just anger people. The backlash in the future will be severe.
