A friend in the UK had chemo after a whipple procedure for pancreatic cancer and it was a kind that didn't affect her hair. She's still living 7 years later with no evidence of cancer. |
They’re feeding stories to the tabloids that he’s doing things behind the scenes, working from home to be the best supporter for Kate. Unfortunately for both of them it looks really bad both ways. The Queen always said they needed to be seen to be believed. If this goes on too much longer people will realize that the sun still rises if William doesn’t spend 30 minutes with a charity once a week. |
It probably wasn't chemo and was immunotherapy or radiation. But again we have no idea what he has or what his treatment is but it doesn't appear to be chemo becuase of the hair situation. |
I agree, the WFH story is unconvincing. Most of us who work from home still have to go into the office 2-3 days a week. He has chauffeurs and helicopters at his disposal, his kids are in school, and as a wife I can assure you that Kate doesn't want him hanging around her bedside 24/7. |
OP sounds like a bot. |
It's routine to update funeral plans for an elderly monarch with potentially life-threatening illness. Doesn't mean he's actually on death's door, just a routine precaution. |
+1. My mom, who was definitely not royalty, updated her will periodically to deal with changes in family members' circumstances, like divorces. Maybe Charles decided to write Andrew and Harry out completely, that's all. |
Andrew is very much a welcome member of their private family. There’s no way he would be prevented from attending his big brother’s funeral. And only William will inherit all of the king’s fortune because they don’t have to pay taxes when it goes to the heir. |
It’s not that kind of a will. Remember the Queen’s funeral? They weren’t planning anything on the day. Everything had been plotted and choreographed way ahead of time and the Queen approved it. She picked the music. If you ever have a sense something is going on, watch the BBC livestream. They know ahead of time - you will see that the anchors have switched to black dresses and black suits and ties. They just wait for the palace announcement to begin the scheduled announcements. They have had a plan for Charles for years, and it needed to be updated because he is now the monarch. Do I think he’s going to make it to 99 like his father? Probably not. But I wouldn’t pay much credence to the gossip that he’s on deaths door either. |
I agree. But my mom picked her hymns and readings too. It wasn't in the will itself but was in a separate document, and the reporting on this is consistent with Charles' funeral planning in general. What I'm suggesting is that Charles decided something like, he didn't want Andrew leading the family into the funeral service with a huge cheesy grin on his face, like Andrew did at another church a month or so ago. Or maybe he decided he hates Oh God Our Help in Ages Past and swapped it out for Amazing Grace. He's tweaking the planning. I think we both agree none of this means death is imminent. |
+1. They were called "grifters" for this very reason. |
Both Andrew and his ex-wife Fergie are welcome. |
My friend just went through 5 rounds. She wore this ice pack thing on her head the whole time. It was $$$. It’s not that she’s vain but more that it was depressing to her to lose her hair too on top of everything else. Her hair is still thick and long so I must have worked. |
It's such a shame. He could have done amazing things with Apple and we all wouldn't have this crappy iphone battery life. |
+1. Also have a friend who did the ice pack procedure and kept her hair. It was fine and short but hair is important to self-esteem. |
