I don’t think photos do Travis justice. He’s better looking in video clips of his podcast. Part of his appeal is his smooth, deep voice, his confidence, and his smile. He has a charm that doesn’t come across in photos. You would think he’s arrogant looking at photos of his crazy clothes but on the podcast he’s pretty self aware and self deprecating. Plus he has his big brother keeping him in check.

Kelce has changed SO much in the last ten years.

For his first few years in the league, he really was this reckless goofball. Like he’d get into fights, make crude hand gestures on camera, and was known to be a HUGE partier. He did his reality show because he needed the money since he’d spent it all on clothes and parties. But it didn’t really matter because he was so damn good. Andy Reid kept him enough in check.

In the Mahomes years, he’s grown up a lot. I think in part because their special connection really catapulted him into being a team leader and he’s taken on that responsibility. He’s gotten really invested in his foundation that helps underprivileged kids in KC and Cleveland (his hometown) and he’s gotten a lot more mature as a player. You still see some of the fire (see: punches during preseason), but now he comes off as very cool, dedicated leader, community and family oriented.

He’s a fascinating match with Taylor because even though now he’s grown up, he’s never been particularly well behaved/clean cut (suspended for failing class in high school, smoking weed in college) and that “good girl” image has been such a part of Taylor’s brand and identity. I think they mesh well together now but they’re the type of couple I could never imagine together if they’d met earlier in life.

I think it’s fair to say the hype is finally dying down. Taylor was at last night’s game. I was watching and they showed her but only a couple times. Definitely game focused. Even with Kelce getting re-injured
