are the girls still only wearing the micro slip dresses to homecoming this year?

I’m trying to teach my DD that you can be stylish and fashionable without showing T&A.
If you don’t want to be objectified, don’t put all of your objects on display.

Most of these girls by me are wearing very un-sexy clothes the rest of the time. Oversized giant sweatshirts and shirts that cover shorts. They look totally different one night for homecoming, but the rest of the time it’s giant shirts, pajama bottoms, and sloppy hair. So what if they want to get glammed up one night a year?

Glammed up doesn’t have to mean revealing.

I wonder why the men and boys aren’t racing to attend formal events in their underclothes.

What is being revealed in these dresses? Body shape? Arms? Legs? The same thing revealed in a swim suit? Or leotard? Or volleyball shorts? Or many other things girls wear?

I noticed you didn’t respond to my question. Where are the boys and men revealing full thigh, bare arms and shoulders, and upper pecs?

In their wrestling unis, Pearl.

Why not at the club or homecoming, Pickmesha?

Because the girls don’t really care about the guys. They are just another accessory.

So your claim is that girls wear revealing clothing because they “really don’t care about the guys”.

I’m not I’ve heard anything less convincing in my entire life. Are you 13?

Are you 113? Girls dress to impress each other.

Sure they do Picmeisha, if you say so. Girls wear micro minis and expose their breasts to impress their girls

Have fun at Homecoming and objectifying yourself for male attention.

Stop +1 your own comments. It’s embarrassing lol

You can Ask the owner to validate if this was the same person.

More likely you are telling on yourself.

Girls aren’t doing it for the guys they’re doing it for the Insta likes and to compete with the other girls. They just want to prove that they can get the guy and the other one can’t. Once they have the guy he no longer has value, he is just collateral damage and

What an amazing coincidence that this form of female competition just so happens to benefit the male gaze!

Please. Most of the girls don't want anything to do with the guys. They want to get dressed up and go out with their friends. They go in groups together, and it's more platonic than romantic. Again, you don't seem familiar with how any of this works.

I only know if two girls in DD’s wide circle of friends who are going with dates/boyfriends. Everyone else is just going with their friend group.

Why all this anger? You are embarrassing. Why are you telling them to ask the owner to validate?

It benefits their social status among their female friends, frenemies, competition etc.

The guys don’t need to gaze at their classmates. They can gaze at someone who meets their standards or desire whenever they want, and they don’t have to imagine what they would like naked.

Also there is nothing wrong with a guy “checking out” a woman. It is a natural response and first step in mating process. The lack of meaningful relationships for young men is, and is going to continue to be a huge problem.

Most of the girls dressing this way are the athletic, popular, high achieving girls. They do it for themselves, and to impress one another. But keep telling yourself (some of the PPs on here are horrid) that these girls are trash or have low self-esteem. It’s a way to make you feel better about your less attractive, lower-achieving children.

I really don’t care who wears what to homecoming, but you sounds absolutely horrid yourself.

Why would you think that "Nuh uh, the girls who wear these dresses are the NON-trash girls!" is a good response to "The girls who wear these dresses are the trash girls!"?
