Nothing like releasing a 755 page bill and voting on it immediately with no opportunity to actually read it.
There is so much in there that will be damaging to individuals and our economy, they have to work quickly to get it passed.....
Remember, you have to pass a bill to find out what's in it. Nancy told us so.

Hmm yeah keep hating hater. You’re the reason we got an unqualified justice sitting on the bench for life in under 30 days. Meanwhile a bill? Can be rescinded with enough willpower.

Still bitter about the ACA? That bill had been debated on and amended and discussed for a year. She was talking about the American people, who now very much appreciate what’s in it.

Bill PASSED the Senate!!!! Haha where’s the Lucy haters now?

No, it has to be voted on twice. Once before open discussion and once after. Can anyone explain why? The whole Senate just voted - why bother a second time which is going to end up being 4AM?

First is a procedural vote to bring the bill to the Senate floor. Now that passes 51-50, so they debate the bill and then vote on passage.

Yeah, let’s vote on a bill that was just released 30 minutes ago????

So stupid. Actually read it rather than passing some garbage.

Another sore loser. Biden is going to get a lot of popular policies passed that will have a real and positive impact on most people’s lives. I can’t remember the last time Republicans did this. Maybe Part D Prescription Drug bill.

There’s a link on page 2 to the full text of the bill from 07/27.

Yes, this is expected to go through the night. I follow a bunch of congressional reporters on Twitter and this morning they were discussing the snacks they were packing for it.

News said each side can have a debate for 20 hours. Think the final vote will be over by dawn?
