If the offensive player kicks the ball and it hits the defensive player who was standing within 10 paces it’s a card. So yeah nothing wrong with it. |
You are wrong. Read the laws. Offences and sanctions If, when a free kick is taken, an opponent is closer to the ball than the required distance, the kick is retaken unless the advantage can be applied; but if a player takes a free kick quickly and an opponent who is less than 9.15 m (10 yds) from the ball intercepts it, the referee allows play to continue. However, an opponent who deliberately prevents a free kick being taken quickly must be cautioned for delaying the restart of play. https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-13---free-kicks |

Refs should be aware of the "statue" as a delay tactic and prevent it. Defenders don't get to force a "ceremonial free kick" if the offense wants a "quick free kick".

http://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.ngin.com/attachments/document/0005/1211/National_Assessment_12.pdf[/quote] If a team is trained to take free kicks quickly, think Barcelona ~8 years ago, they will be able to work around those tactics. In youth soccer some of the players aren't thinking of playing it quickly and go through the motions of waiting for refs to tell the other team. Similar in corner kicks, there is no need to wait for everyone to settle in, but the players on the offense wait anyway. |
Thank you for this! |

“6. Yellow cards should come with 5 minutes in the penalty box. A red card should come with an ejection and a PK, no matter where the foul occurred. “
This is absurd |
| No offside rule in play within the final 18 yards of the pitch on either end if the ball is played outside of the 18 yard box. |
Very popular idea IMHO. |
Agree on the red card. I do like the penalty box idea. Maybe eliminate reds and yellows all together and just habit major and minor penalties like hockey and encourage fights to break out. |
Actually, It's not a card. |
| Do not stop play for "injured" players -- let play continue until there is a dead ball, but let any necessary medical staff on the field to treat the player. |
It is if the defensive player was doing it slow or delay play. If you watch soccer you see it all the time. |
Slight modification suggested. Go ahead and stop play, but if play is stopped for an injured player that will result in that player needing to sit out of the game for 15 minutes minimum. While out they will be checked by trainer and if trainer believes they were failing injured player will receive a yellow card. Temporary sub is allowed but if player does not go back in after 15 mins then they are permanently subbed out. This will motivate players to not fake injuries lest they lose 15 minutes of playing time and or get a yellow card. |
| Correction to above post. Faking not failing. |
