| We are looking for recommendations on infant daycares with openings for February. We ideally would like something in Rockville near Shady Grove or Rockville Town Center, but recommendations futher afield are welcome, too. Thanks so much! |
| We used Pathways on Muncaster Mill in Rockville. It was pretty good, but I think the teachers might be different now, so not sure. Just wanted to throw it out there in case you're able to check it out. |
| OP here. Anything near Kentlands or Fallsgrove would be great, too. Thanks! |

I've been very happy at Kindercare on Crabbs Branch and Shady Grove. Near the Metro. I love the infant teachers and they are all still there (we've been there 5 years now). However, I don't know anything about the toddler and twos rooms, as those teachers have changed. Teachers in the 3s, 4s, and 5s are all pretty stable.
I've also heard good things about Nanda day care from other parents I know, although it seems to get mixed reviews on here (so does my Kindercare, so YMMV). |

Our former home daycare in Darnestown has openings (or last I checked). Its about 4 miles from kentlands, might be in wrong direction though.... PM me if interested:

| The Goddard School at 900 Wind River Lane is amazing (right across from Kentlands and MedImmune). We looked at all the daycares in the area and this was by far the best. The biggest complaint I have is the cost, but it has been totally worth it to us. My child has learned so much there and is so advanced for her age, much of which I think is attributable to the school and what a strong educational compenent it has even from infant stage. |

Thanks to the person who posted this topic. Would really appreciate anyones input on the Goddard school.any and every detail is welcome starting from who would be the best person to get in touch with over there and how difiicult it is to get admission

| Why do the Goddard posts always sound like commercials?? We used Goddard at Kings Farm. It was fine..paid alot for fine..eventually moved on to something better for us but no complaints about it. I don't think they are more educational than other quality programs..look for NAEYC accreditation and you will find high standards and degreed teachers. |
| My son went to Nanda childcare as a toddler (not an infant) and I was happy with the care there. They are right next to Shady Grove Hospital. |
Because they all focus on how advanced their kids are rather than how happy they are. |
DS was at Nanda as an infant. The infant room teachers are fantastic. Same teachers are still there now as when DS was in the infant room. |
Some of the infant teachers were great others eh not so much. So glad I left that place, But Goddard School is amazing, as is Kindercare where we are now. |
| Heard good things (but no personal experience) about pecan place daycare in Rockville. Elementary school teacher and her mom with a play-based approach an natural, organic focus. Good luck! |
| You're looking for infant care for Feb now? in mid-Jan? good luck with that |
