I'm in purge mode and am debating getting rid of the punch bowl--it belonged to DH's folks--when FIL remarried we ended up with a lot of stuff. We've never used it in 12+ years, but I'm wondering if it would be nice to have when our DDs are out of toddlerhood for parties. The cups seem so small. If you have one do you use it, and for what kind of events?

Sorry for the double post, system froze and it didn't show up when I checked the first time.
Did a champagne punch for hosting xmas eve. folks loved it. did not use the glasses though- they are too small.
Yes. At almost every party that we have over about 10 or 12 people, we make a big batch of Scorpion Punch to make sure that everyone can have a drink when they come in and there isn't a huge backup in making drinks at any point during the party. We use the punch cups only if there are 12 or fewer guests; otherwise, punch is in plastic, while all the other drinks get their proper glassware.
Yes -- we use ours -- for home and work parties -- I make a really nice rum punch. It's festive and it also saves a lot of money -- people usually prefer it over beer and wine and we only need to use about 3/4 cup of rum for every batch.
PP - would you share your recipe for your really nice rum punch?
Hmm...3/4 C of rum per bath? I think I'd call that "aroma of rum" punch.
