Book Recommendation on Two Year Olds?

Anonymous
Any book recommendations to help me keep up with my almost 2 1/2 year old? She's extremely verbal and seems to have quite an understanding of teh world around her, so we get tripped up when she starts acting like, well, a two year old! Any books to recommend to help me get into her brain a bit more than I can as a um, 30-something?
Many thanks!

My 2.5 year old currently is into the Curious George books.

She also loves anything that we are reading to her 4.5 year old brother!

Touchpoints Birth to Three by T. Berry Brazelton is our go-to book!

We liked 1-2-3 Magic by Thomas Phelan. It's for 2-12 year olds. When our 2 year old son acts crazy, we start counting (per the book's instructions), and he knows now that he doesn't want time outs, so he usually stops. At first, he wanted to put himself into time out because it was a novel thing, but now he knows better and usually stops what he's doing.

Whatever you do, BE CONSISTENT. Don't count to 2 and then plead with the kid or anything like that; it just undermines your authority.

And no, we're not mean, authoritative parents. But we need him to listen at times, and those are the times we count.

Good luck!
